The older brother/sister: Academic
An early post since i need to study for my maths tutor test tmrw. If i fail that, then i get kicked out so that aint good. Il mostly refer to myself in this post though. As the older sibling, there are certain responsibilities that we have which involves the younger sibling. We try to protect them from guys or girls sometimes and give them advice when they have problems. We help them and they help us in a way of their own too. They may not listen to our advice, thinking that it could be a sign of submission or that ee're trying to be dominant or bossy. They'll probably try to insult you when you're trying to do what's best for them. Now, im 70% certain that my sister is 9, but im 100% sure that she's in year 4. God im a terrible brother. She has so much potential to be greater than me, but damn she is lazy. Watching all these disney movies (i join her sometimes LOL) and playing on the ipad or computer (she finished reading ouran highschool already), she quit piano ;( and reads just as much as me when i was a bookworm LOL. My parent's don't mind her much as they prioritised that i was more important as its HSC coming up. My sister is taught by my dad in maths and given books for english while im taught maths by my dad for an hour or two. I went to sefton infants for pre school to year 2. I was moved into the year 2 class at year 1 since i was good at maths. When i finished year 2, they gave me and sylvia tang (still remember her name. She goes sydney girls now) an award for excellence so we were the best in our class of 20 LOL. Then i went to birrong public, since i had no friends in regents park primary =L So in year 3 on presentation day, i came first in my class. Year 4, i came third. In year 5, i came 4th =( no book for me. Then year 6 i came first wth the book eragon given to me. My competitions left me with distinction and higher and only two credits. Yeah. Didn't make it to selective though so my parents were real heartbroken about it. Saw my mum crying about it so i was just depressed. And at highschool im just doing quite average. My sister is now in year 4. Hasnt received any award in year 3 and got participation in her maths competition and a credit in her english. Im probably the worst type of older brother. The one who sets a high standard for their siblings. With the parents saying shit like, be more like your brother or your brother understood this quicker than you. Not a good feeling, but hey, i didnt make it to selective so if she makes it, its all good. I also went to shitloads of tutor at a young age and shes getting all of my work now. Lots of work+asian parents+lazy girl+academic brother= Lots of stress ;( But im a dumbshit now so once she gets to a good highschool, she can brag all she wants :D tagboard
