In our culture, the phenomenon called emotion is only a

Vision
I started to live in the darkness with the commencement of my new life. The light I saw, the bright warmth which seemed to be within my grasp was just an illusion. An illusion not shattered, but utterly destroyed with no fragments of hope left behind. There was nothing to build upon, nothing to add on, there was simply... nothing.

It didn't take long for my eyes to adjust to the darkness, it felt unnatural at first, but it rapidly became a part of myself. The shadow which was always following me while I walked in the light, now became myself, I am the shadow which melted in with the darkness. It's perfect. Avoiding the light which flickers around me and just sinking deeper into the darkness; it's almost euphoric. All these realisations, observing the surroundings and just being the darkness, I feel that I've become apathetic.

Emotions are just tools, mindless tools which can be used to manipulate others. What value do they hold? It's empty and useless for one such as I. No emotions can be seen in the darkness. Nothing can be seen in the darkness. It's merely a matter of perspective. With most of my days being immersed in the darkness, I've become accustomed to it. As I glide my fingers across the monochrome keys which carry the light and dark, I do so whilst in the darkness. It's flawless, I play perfectly in the darkness.

It's only a matter of time.
